Renn Cheah Clinical Psychologist BSc (hons), MPsych (Clinical) Renn sees children, adolescents and adults
I work with adults, adolescents, children and their families to help them understand and improve their sleep. My growing interest in treating sleep disorders comes from understanding that sleep plays a crucial role in physical and mental well-being and overall quality of life. Sleep is a rewarding area to work in as sleep difficulties such as insomnia often respond well and quickly to behavioural and psychological approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is actually the recommended first-line treatment.
I use a holistic and client-centred approach when I work with people and I work collaboratively with my clients using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and occasionally drawing on frameworks from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), schema therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. I am experienced in delivering treatments in both individual and group settings.
I am multilingual and am open to conducting therapy sessions in Malay, Cantonese or Mandarin if required.
